Our Dental Technology

At Kerhoulas Dental Streetsville, we provide a range of dental technologies to inform treatment options and streamline the appointment process. We can display digital X-rays on monitors right in front of our patients, so you can have the chance to see the issues first hand and discuss treatments with our dentists.

Our mission is to provide patients with valuable dental care and keep them completely informed about their oral health. These dental technologies help us do just that.

Panoramic X-Rays

Panoramic X-rays allow dentists to generate a single image of your whole mouth. This image is a two-dimensional representation of your teeth, upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), and nasal and sinus structures. Panoramic X-rays are often used to help plan treatments for many procedures such as dentures, braces, extractions, and implants.

Intraoral Scanners

Intraoral scanners create digital dental impressions, an ideal alternative to standard dental impressions which can be messy and time-consuming. Your dentist will use an optical scanning tool to take a digital image of your teeth in just a few minutes. This device allows your dentist to capture highly accurate data to create a digital model of the hard and soft tissues of your mouth.

Digital X-Rays

Digital X-rays use digital sensors instead of traditional photographic X-ray film. They produce highly precise computer models of the teeth and gums, as well as other oral structures and conditions, allowing your dentist to examine parts of the mouth that are not visible to the naked eye.

CEREC Same-Day Restorations

CEREC® (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) is a system that allows for the fabrication and placement of ceramic dental crowns, inlays, and onlays in a single appointment. This piece of dental technology allows our dentists to stay in line with changes in dental technology.
